Youth Protection
Why should parents take YPT? Take the training! It’s imperative that parents and volunteers know Scouting’s Youth Protection policies, which include our barriers to abuse: the classic two-deep leadership and no one-on-one contact policies, as well as our mandatory reporting of child abuse and our social media guidelines. It is free and easily accessed through your my.Scouting.org account. Once YPT is completed, save a copy of your certificate for any future scouting events. YPT needs to be renewed every two (2) years.
