Event Details:
Join us for a STEM themed Blue & Gold Banquet celebrating Scouting and Pack 685! The Blue & Gold is a Cub Scout tradition celebrating the anniversary of the founding of the BSA, recognizing scouts and leaders within our pack. We will also send off our AOL scouts in a “bridging ceremony” as they crossover to their new Scouts BSA troops.
RSVP Required:
Space is limited. The event hall will hold ~200 people.
RSVP is open to AOLs first - they will receive the link to sign up in a separate email. They will have a week to sign up (until 2/12) and then the rest of the Pack will get the link to RSVP on 2/13 and sign ups will be open until 2/24. Please ensure you sign up if you plan to come so that we ensure we plan for the proper amount of food, and so that we do not exceed the venue capacity.
A few additional bits of information from the event space: • Guests can use the parking lot directly outside the Paul J. Filipowicz Community Hall. Vehicles must be parked in a parking spot. Additional parking is available adjacent to the Fire station at the commuter lot. The use of the Fire Station #22 Parking Lot is prohibited. Violators are subject to towing.
• Entry to the Community Hall is through the front door only.
• The portions of the building and grounds of GSVFD not included in the rental agreement are off limits and contain hazards associated with the operation of a fire and rescue department. No persons are permitted in any off limits areas for any purpose.
Dessert Competition:
Dessert themes are: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Scouting, or Outdoors. There will be prizes for the dessert decoration prizes ($25 for first place, $15 for second, $10 for third).
Pinewood Derby Trophy Presentation:
Winners for Rank Speed Trophies and six (6) special show categories will be presented at the B&G. If you are not able to attend the banquet, we can arrange to get your trophy to your Scout.
