This Council course replaces Webelos Leader Outdoor Training. It differs from BALOO in that it is taught in an outdoor setting rather than in a classroom and the focus is on Webelos camping rather than on Pack Overnighters. There is an emphasis not only on basic camping and outdoor skills, but also on completion of activity badges that can best be accomplished in an outdoor setting. This course is required for the Webelos Den Leader knot and for the district’s annual Outstanding Webelos Den Leader awards.

The course will be taught April 1-2 at the American Legion Youth Camp, Cheltenham (Prince George’s County), MD. It will run from Saturday morning through early Sunday afternoon. The pre-registration cost is $20.00; it’s $25.00 at the door.
