2004 Webelos I Campout Itinerary

Arrival and set-up

Notes:  Lunch is arranged individually by family. If possible, Den leaders should observe scout tent setup (fulfills one requirement for Webelos Outdoorsman activity badge)

     

1400 – 1600

Den time

Notes:  Time can be spent on hiking, activity badge work, etc

     

1600 – 1700

Group Activity

Notes:  Dens will come together for fun activity (kickball, hiking)

     

1700 – 1900

Dinner preparation and eating

Notes:  Each den will prepare a portion of the meal; group will come together for a shared meal

     

1900 – 2000

Leisure time

Notes: Scouts should prepare for campfire, nighttime hike, etc.

     

2000 – 2130

Campfire

Brief program of stories, skits, songs. Preparation of S’mores, stick burning, general relaxation

Additional Notes

1.  Den headcounts must be turned into Marcus Harton NLT 15 Oct 04

      a.  Headcount should include separate numbers for overnight campers, dinner attendees and breakfast attendees

2.  Marcus Harton and Karen Howard will prepare dinner and breakfast menus

      a.  Marcus and Karen will plan food order based on den head count

      b.  Marcus and Karen will instruct each den what to bring

      c.  Marcus, Tim Kelly, and Mike Bryan will assist dens in food prep

      d.  Breakfast will be prepared by volunteers

3.  Each den should bring a 20 lbs bag of charcoal

4.  Cost per camper will be determined by number of overnight campers

5.  Weather call will be made by den leaders

6.  Families are welcome; however, there will be no specific family events

7.  Weather will be chilly; come prepared for cold/rainy weather

8.  Jim Howard has volunteered to bring firewood

9.  Scouts are not required to wear uniforms
