Join
us for an exciting weekend of camping at scenic Pohick
Bay Regional Park. The park is on the Potomac adjacent to George Mason’s
Gunston Hall Plantation, just below Mount Vernon. It's about 20 minutes
from West Springfield. Outdoor activities on Saturday, campfire Saturday
night, and great camp meals. Hot showers and flush toilets, too. Bring
the whole family.
When/Where:

May 14-15.

Meet at the "Overflow" camping area in the main Pohick Bay
Regional Park (not Camp Wilson) on Saturday at 11:00 am and set up.

Opening ceremony, ground rules and schedule: 12:00 noon. Lunch to follow
(bring your own).
• Program begins at 1:00 pm.
• Return home Sunday after the 10:30 am closing ceremony.

Meals:
Bring
your own picnic lunch for Saturday. The Pack provides Saturday dinner
and Sunday breakfast (including drinks and disposable utensils for those
meals).
Cost:
•
Kids 15 and under: $9 each
• Adults (16 and over): $12 each
• This includes the campsite fee plus dinner, breakfast, campfire
snacks, and program materials. Camp cooking all weekend, including Dutch
oven desserts. Make check payable to Pack 685.

Scouts need not wear their uniform, although leaders are asked to wear
their uniform shirt on Saturday. Scouts who have a scouting-related
T-shirt are encouraged to wear it if the weather is appropriate.
